Renovation, not new build
A full renovation of an operating 375-key resort is a different engineering problem from new construction. Existing risers, shafts and service capacity constrain what the new systems can be, and the record set for a building of this age is rarely complete. A 16,000 sq ft spa and 20,000 sq ft of conference space were added into that existing envelope, each with ventilation and humidity demands the original building was never designed to carry.
